The
only qualification for Mensa membership is a score in the top 2% of the
general population on a standardized intelligence test. Scores are accepted
by one of two means:
Evidence
of Prior Testing
American Mensa accepts scores from approximately 200 different standardized
intelligence tests. If you have already taken such a test, you can submit
the scores of that test to qualify.
The
Mensa Admissions Test
If you haven't taken an intelligence test or cannot locate your prior
testing scores, you can take the Mensa Admissions Test, administered
by a certified Mensa proctor. This battery of two tests is offered at
the local level several times per year. If you wish, you can take the
Mensa home test as preparation for the Mensa supervised test. If you
wish, you can also contact our local
Mensa proctor.
If you've already
qualified and have recently received an offer of membership from our
Admissions Department, you can join
American Mensa now.
